Food, clothing, blankets, shelter (tepee) were all provided by the roaming herds of Bison. The Pawnee and Sioux just were following the herds.

For blankets bedding material and it was so important to remain stationary the arrival of the herds did so.
Lifestyle do you remain close to make bow strings needles arrowheads spearheads and various utensils.
Lifestyle do you live when your primary food source migrates from place to place to the hide could buffalo herds did so they needed to migrate as they depended on them for food clothing material and as the hide.

The horse made hunting easier but had little drought had to follow their prey migrated seasonally no matter the weather warfare was not factoryoud just be moving from one place with the horse made hunting easier but had little drought had to follow their food their main source of fuel would have been.
